2011. 03. 04.

The European Crime Prevention Network held its board meeting in Budapest on the 25th of February, 2011. On the meeting, Borbála Fellegi held one of the discussion evolving presentations on the subject of „Community Conflict Management”.

The orientating question linked to the subject were:
”Are you aware of any cases/conflicts in your country, which originate from the coexistence of people within communities/settlements?”
„Do these conflicts effect citizen’s feelings of security? How significant this problem is considered in your county?”
„Are there any good initiatives at a local level to adress this phenomenon?
„Are there any nationwide policy/programmes aiming at the resolution/management of such conflicts?”
„Which bodies, organizations are the ones initiating such programmes, projects? (state services, NGOs) Are there established partnerships for adressing this very issue? If yes, who are the ones involved?”

The executive of Foresee research Group shared with the audience the experiences of the Reserch Group’s Nagybörzsöny Project. The facilitator of the related discussion was Foresee expert Gabriella Benedek.
